On the Ethic of Stewardship

This page is a collection of quotes, mentions, and descriptions of the ethic of Stewardship in popular media. In particular, we want to highlight this thread of awareness in the consciousness of the world’s greatest thought leaders. Thus, we begin with a sentiment expressed by Albert Einstein:

“A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.” ~ Albert Einstein

In Stellar Impact, one of the guiding principles that we teach, is the awareness that we all are where we are, because of the faithful stewardship of generations before us.

We have our legal systems, roads and other infrastructure, national identities, medical expertise, education, technological advances, shared knowledge, and much, much more … all because of people who were faithful stewards, in their time & place, of what was entrusted to their care.

Consequently, we have a duty, a debt to humanity, to preserve what was entrusted to us, improve upon it, and pass it on to future generations yet to come.
